These work great at not slipping off the fender during repair work, however i did damage the paint on my Survivor Corvette when I accidentally put too much pressure on a tool laying on the fender gripper and it scratch the paint underneath, But I was able to buff most of it out. but from now on, I will be using its anti-slip properties to hold a much tougher fender, cover On top of the fender.
