The special aspects of the new 1-piece RG-D2 models include the step-rim form plus three types of concave spokes in 6-spoke styles. In other words, these 18-inch wheels have the racing rim profile necessary for 18-inch wheels to accommodate brake systems with rotor sizes of up to 400mm diameter. As with TCIII wheels, the profile is limited to 18-inch rims, and with this model change, the concept is even more sports-use oriented. In a way, we can say that this orientation harkens back to the original RG wheels.
