Advance Adapters started in Downey, California, in 1971, with a single adapter that connected a Muncie automobile 4-speed to a Jeep Dana 18 transfer case. The high number of buyers encouraged the company to expand its product portfolio. Advance Adapters eventually surpassed its location and relocated to Talc Street in Santa Fe Springs, California. Thanks to the new site, the business expanded its adapter product line by adding new components such as mounts, motor overdrives, headers, and linkage brackets.

Advance Adapters is a world leader in developing and producing high-quality powertrain and 4-wheel-drive aftermarket parts. Advance Adapters opted to move to California in 1977. They chose Paso Robles, a tiny town on the state's Central Coast, where the firm purchased 3 acres and established its new building, which served as the company's headquarters for the following 15 years.
The company commenced a winch operation there, which they ultimately discontinued because of the adapters' increasing popularity and the necessity to make more and more items. The 4WD business shifted to rock crawling around the end of 1995.
Although Advance Adapters provided many low-ratio transmission switch alternatives, dedicated 4-wheelers demanded more. As a result, in 1989, the company entered the ultra-low gear transfer case market, resulting in an innovative product line well received. Advance Adapters has wanted to go forward for the past six years.
In 1998, a new building was developed and built in one of Paso Robles' latest industrial parks, and it is now regarded as one of the Central Coast's most up-to-date processing and production industries. The building spans over 44,000 square feet and houses all assembly, production, and administrative functions.
LLC (FNCP), First Nation's Capital Partners, an investment organization aiming at sponsoring and promoting the growth of Native American majority-owned firms in traditional sectors, purchased a controlling position in Advance Adapters in early 2017. Advance Adapters is pleased to join forces with FNCP and expects to continue providing the same high-quality, dependable products it has become recognized over the years.
