Since we recently sold our 2007 STI to a high profile customer, it was time to get a new toy to go with our WRX wagon project. While everyone waits for the amazing EVO X and STI, we had to get our fingers on something in the interm. Our criteria was this: 4 doors, automatic with paddle shifters, turbo, and cool looking. The Audi A3 fits all this after we saw the built car from Rieger Tuning of Germany. Think we are joking? Check out this link here to see how cool this project car will look! https://www.rieger-tuning.de/Datenblatt_Audi_A3_Sportback.pdf
The car is simplistic inside. No power seats, no sunroof, nothing cool really. So we wanted to start from the ground up. Future mods will consist of: JIC Coilovers, JIC Quad Tip Exhaust, JIC Wheels, Pirelli Tires, Rieger Body Kit, Status Seats, Diamond Audio, Eclipse Head Unit, and a whole ton of new parts from Agency Power. We plan on doing suspension, silicone parts, cooler paddle shifters, larger turbo, bigger intercooler, and more.
To start off, we needed more power! So we threw the car on the dyno for a baseline run. We then sent our ECU file to Upsolute tuning so we could flash the car. The 2.0T produced 158hp and 160tq to the front wheels. With the flash, we expect to gain about 40 more horsepower. Stay tuned for updates on this project and enjoy the pics! We won’t let you down!

2 wagons? awesome
Should be sweet!
been to europe? little cars and wagons are coming to america!
Thas Awesome
Car is a blast to drive. Has some power but you can tell the suspension needs some love as it does have alot of understeer.
Should be able to squeeze some good power from the motor with only ECU tuning. If I’m not mistaken its the same motor as in the Audi S3, which has a claimed power figure of 255bhp.
Looks like they are both 2.0T.

The flash should be done for us on Monday.
The A3 2.0T, S3, VW Golf GTI and SEAT Leon FR all share the basic powerplant. As far as I know the only difference is ECU tuning, but power figures range from 200 to 255bhp.
Some simple mods should net good power gains (intake and exhaust systems etc.)
Here is the car with the reflash –
