Vivid Racing’s GT-R is getting closer to completion. Because of the uniqueness of this car, we wanted to build a custom body kit. To change up the front bumper, rear wing, and side skirts, getting creative was the task at hand. The front bumper we wanted to have that DTM style look on the side with big ductings and fog lights on the front. Because the stock bumper is urethane, we actually took a Rieger Ford Focus urethane bumper and chopped it up. The side skirts were tricky too. They measure 79inches in length so we found the E60 BMW M5 skirts from Rieger to work as well. Being urethane, they would be easy to modify and fit to the car with that aggressive look. The rear wing we are keeping stock but raising about 2inches with a negative 5 degree rake.
Today we should have updated pics of the car being painted flat red and making its transition into the utlimate GT-R! More info coming soon but stay tuned to our Project Car Section at www.vividracing.com/forums.
