We haven’t posted anything Subaru related in a while it feels like so when we got these pictures in of this customer’s project Subaru, we had to share them. This customer did a complete STI conversion on it. For those of you who are new to the tuner world, a complete STI conversion means pulling out the U.S.-spec five-speed transmission and 227-hp engine and replacing it with the 271-horsepower, J-spec model. There are arguments as to which model is better but those true tuners will appreciate the time and physical labor it takes to make the swap. Few people have attempted, and we’re pumped to have picture from a customer ballsy enough to complete the rare transformation. It took this guy and his father 16 straight days of work to complete the job. Talk about an epic father son project.
If you’ve been inspired to do an STI conversion of your own, or any other car conversion, we want to hear about it. Tell us about it in the comment section below or on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Email sales@vividracing.com for help with your project car or deciding on what your next project should be. The first two picture are a before and after. Keep scrolling for the rest of the build pictures and a complete Mod List.
