We told you about our sales guy Adam following a build he found online that ended with him buying the car off the people who were building it. That intrigue to watch something being built from the ground up is where a tuner’s root spring from. Our customer is starting to build his own McLaren Mp4-12C to track in Brazil. When we say building, we mean from the ground up.
He’s starting with the Mc4-12c shell. You can see the body shape in the pictures below. They dropped a Ford Edge drivetrain into the custom made chassis and will be fabricating a Garret twin turbo system. With the meat of the build mapped out, he wanted to make sure this track monster could stop on a dime. He went to the best in braking and will be installing some Brembo 6 piston calipers in the front and 4 piston calipers in the rear. He’s unsure what suspension system he’ll be going with, but a set of coilovers will be in the mix for sure. We are working with MHT, the makers of Niche, to get some custom 19″ and 20″ wheels made for this insane build.
These are all the details we have at this moment, but we will be following this build closely. We will be posting updates as we get them in from the customer. Until then, here are the exclusive, first-looks at the build he sent us.
