When the first Dodge Viper hit the market in 1992, it changed the way we view domestic performance vehicles. The long nose and short cockpit design were sleek and sporty. Luring people in with its futuristic body lines, the V10 under the hood would captivate them even more.
Immediately recognizing the potential in the Dodge Viper, enthusiasts and manufacturers began the modification process. Being that the vehicle was meant to be a sports car, many owners felt the suspension lacked. With the 1990’s technology the Viper still outperformed the competition.
In the following years, and continued production of the Viper, aftermarket parts became readily available. This gave owners the opportunity to upgrade and fine-tune their vehicles for optimal driving preferences. Many times, owners just want the option of adjustable ride height, damping settings, and spring rates.
This was especially the case for our customer Jim Race Bannon who installed a set of BC Racing coilovers on his Viper. With the ease of installation, Jim was able to have his Viper lowered to his liking in a matter of no time. Due to the threaded shock bodies these BC Coilovers feature height, damping, and camber adjustment.
With the increased handling the Viper turns into a cornering machine. Being that BC Racing valves and tunes each coilover to improve the ride quality and handling at the same time, these coilovers suit the Viper as if they were meant to come from the factory.
