The Mitsubishi Evo has long been one of the most popular and iconic JDM cars around. With a turbocharged engine, all-wheel-drive, torque vectoring, and a great rally-proven chassis, it’s a great starting platform for a tuner car. As with pretty much any tuner car, the stock wheels are one of the first things to go. The OEM wheels have pretty weak fitment, and they’re not built to the same quality as a proper aftermarket wheel such as something from Rays Engineering.
This particular customer chose a set of Volk Racing ZE40 wheels for their Evo X. The ZE40 is a simple forged 10-spoke wheel which offers tons of strength in a lightweight package. For the Evo X, 18×10 is a pretty aggressive fitment which sits very flush with the body of the car.
