Although Mitsubishi no longer produces the Lancer, the Evo is one of the most iconic JDM performance cars ever. The Evo X, in particular, made around 300 horsepower and featured impressive technology such as S-AWC, an advanced torque vectoring system. Just because it was an awesome tuner car doesn’t mean it can’t be improved. The factory wheels on the Evo X aren’t the best looking so replacing them with an aftermarket set is a very popular mod.
There are a lot of great wheels on the market thanks to the Evo X’s use of a 5×114.3 lug pattern. This particular customer chose a set of Work Emotion D9R wheels. The D9R is a simple 8-spoke wheel with a decent amount of lip. It looks good on pretty much any JDM car, especially the Evo X. Wrapped around the wheels are some sticky Michelin Super Sport S4 tires. The offset our customer chose is aggressive and required rolling the fender to fit properly.
