Our customer, David A., recently purchased an Exedy Stage 3 hyper single clutch kit for his 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. All Exedy hyper clutches come with a steel flywheel and a 6-pad disc with cerametallic facing, in addition to a spring center damper. The disc is generally thinner and smaller than the OEM factory disc, resulting in lower inertia and therefore quicker, easier shifting. The higher clamp load and cerametallic friction facings provide approximately twice the holding torque of the OEM clutch and generally higher than other single plate clutches on the market.
