When it comes to building race cars, often times custom parts are required due to lack of aftermarket support. Greddy has been one of the most dominant names in the JDM industry and they are a huge name in the drifting scene as well. GReddy Racing uses an electronic water pump on their 2JZ powered drift car. Without a large water pump pulley, driving everything on the accessory drive can become a difficult and custom built task, as it all must be routed differently than the factory system.
GReddy Racing uses a small billet aluminum bracket on their 2JZ powered race car which is now available through Vivid Racing! This new bracket allows you to use the factory alternator on the 2JZ engine while also using an electronic water pump. It’s simply a small billet piece with three mounting holes and one slot to allow for belt tightness adjustment. Of course, you will also need to order to a correctly sized serpentine belt, but that can be found at nearly any auto parts store in the world. It comes in a very attractive Anodized Blue finish to keep your engine bay looking killer.
