Today was a long day which will only get longer tomorrow. Leaving Sedona at 830am we back tracked and headed towards the Grand Canyon. Leaving Sedona we got to drive the amazing Oak Creek Canyon on 89A. Following a SLR, Veyron, and Drop Head was very picturesq. We were on text message with one of the other Gumballers reporting police traps and other info to keep us safe ahead of the pack. We made our way down the I-40 and over to route 64 which took us straight up to the canyon. After an idiot camera guy pointed us in the wrong direction and driving for 30 minutes, we finally turned around and headed back where we found the lunch check point. After grabbing a route card and taking pictures with the Fuel Girls, we jumped in the car where we made our way to Santa Fe. After several napping hours, we caught up to a pack of 3 including the supercharged Flat Black Viper, Nissan GT-R, and Corvette ZO-6. As a group we stayed on pace with our CB’s working and finally made it into Santa Fe to an awaiting crowd of thousands. The days rumors included the Bugatti Veyron Vivid Racing worked on being impounded for going 205mph. BBI’s Porsche 996TT and a Lamborghini Murcielago being impounded, and several others getting tickets. Tomorrow we head off to Dallas.
