When Porsche announced that the mid-cycle refresh for the 991 Carrera would include a new engine, enthusiasts became very polarized. With the Carrera now using a turbocharged engine, would the iconic Porsche driving experience be the same? What will happen with other 991.2 models? One of the big benefits of the Carrera using a turbocharged engine is the ability to gain big power with simple bolt-ons. Agency Power is well known for their 991 GT3 valved exhaust which sounds absolutely incredible, and now they’ve pushed into the 991.2 Carrera market with their new Valvetronic exhaust system.
The big benefit of a Valvetronic exhaust is the ability to change the volume of your exhaust on the fly. This means you can keep your 991.2 Carrera quiet during those early mornings, late nights, and long commutes, but when you hit a canyon road you can open up the exhaust and let your Carrera sing. The exhaust is made from 3” T304 stainless-steel for a long-lasting finish, and TIG welded for the highest possible build quality. The increased diameter helps exhaust gases flow faster and more freely, allowing the turbochargers to spool up faster and create more boost, resulting in better throttle response and gains of 15-20 horsepower, as tested on the Vivid Racing AWD Mustang dyno. The tips will be available in black, polished, and carbon fiber finishes, all of which look killer on the Carrera.
