Ever since Ford debuted the new Bronco and Bronco Sport in 2020, it’s been the talk of the town for off-roaders. The full-sized Bronco has received the bulk of media attention, but the smaller Bronco Sport also promises to be a great, affordable off-road alternative to something like the Jeep Renegade or something similar.
As Vivid Racing continues to grow into new markets, we decided to take our presence in the off-road world to a new level by purchasing our very own Project Bronco Sport! With this project vehicle in our hands, we’ll be able to test, design, and develop products specifically for this platform. From tuning, exterior, suspension, wheels, and more, there are lots of great ideas floating around for our Bronco Sport.
As usual, one of the first things we did once our new project arrived is putting it on our dyno to get our baseline power figures, so we have a fair point of comparison for every modification installed or tested. With a few baseline runs completed, we were seeing around 200-210whp from the Bronco Sport.
While that power figure might sound low, it’s pretty decent for a stock EcoBoost on our all-wheel-drive Mustang dyno. The project is just beginning, so stay tuned for lots of great mods and product development! For now, enjoy this small photo gallery.
