Vivid Racing’s newest project car is here and it comes in the form of a beautiful Race Red 2020 Ford Raptor. You have probably seen Dan’s very own Magnuson-supercharged Toyota Tundra on our Youtube channel. Now that that truck is gone, it’s time for another project to be underway. When Dan was searching for a truck to replace the Tundra, he was debating between the all-new RAM TRX or the Ford Raptor. Well, a decision was made and we are pleased to show off this stunner in all of its glory in the video clip below. We do a full walkaround and take it out on the road to test some of its off-road abilities.
But first, let’s go over why the Raptor was chosen and delve into some of the great features that will make it a real joy to modify in the coming months. The Baja-bred Ford F-150 Raptor has the high-output 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine that generates a massive best-in-class 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The twin-turbo engine is really good for modifying and brilliant when it comes to achieving great gas mileage. It also utilizes Ford’s port-fuel and direct-injection system (PFDI) system and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The new 2020 Raptor comes with Fox live valve monotube shocks which are adaptive on the go to maximize your off-road experience. Smart tech features on the Raptor include a front camera, blind-spot radar, 360-degree camera, rear backup camera, Trail Control, SecuriCode keyless entry, and more! The integrated tailgate step with handle proves to be incredibly useful and a favorite among truck owners who desire easier access to the bed. We won’t give away all of the goodies featured on the Raptor so give the video below a watch. See what else this bad boy has to offer and join us as we test out the true functions/modes of this truck!
