The Mitsubishi EVO has been one of the most iconic tuner cars throughout its history. Before the EVO VIII was brought to the USA, people were dying to figure out how to get a EVO VII stateside. Once the US got its hands on the EVO, the tuner market blew up. With its raw rally inspired feel and driving characteristics, the change of guard from the EVO VIII and EVO IX to the EVO X was pretty big. The EVO X game was more luxurious than the previous chassis’. Trying to beat their competitors, Subaru, Mitsubishi pushed the EVO X past the STI’s comfort level. As one of the first companies to build the EVO X back in 2008, our Project EVO X made some big hits and impressions.
One of our own here at Vivid Racing has a EVO X with basics modifications like you would find on many EVO owners cars. With such unique parts as a single exit Tomei exhaust, JP USA Lip , and Stance SS Coilovers, this EVO was a perfect candidate for the new Weds Wheels SA10R wheels. The square setup of 18×10.5 at all 4 corners is a long way from what we thought was wide of 18×8.5 on our old Project EVO VIII. These wheels feature a +25mm offset and of course a 5×114.3 bolt pattern specific to the EVO X. The SA10-R comes in 2 finishes called (ZBB) Zebra Black and (BLC) Blue Light Chrome. This particular set is Zebra Black.
