The New BMW M2 Gets One of Its First After Market Exhaust Systems From Akrapovic.
The Bmw M2 has been one of the most highly reviewed and debated vehicles released within the past few years. With cars continually getting larger and more advanced, the M2 has been the poster child for enthusiasts who enjoy a more raw driving experience. Even though the BMW M2 is considered the “cheapest” of the M Division vehicles, it’s price for performance is un-matched. This Halo car from BMW can not only destroy most of its competition, it can hang with its older brother the M3/4 and M5 in terms of on the track times. The car is phenomenal in stock form, but like any vehicle straight from the factory, there is some room for improvement . The exhaust note from the factory is quite good, but there is room for improvement. Akrapovic has solved this problem with their new Evolution exhaust for the F87. Check out this new video and check back to see what other items are being released for this amazing vehicle!
Made from ultra-lightweight high-grade titanium, which will lower the overall weight of the car and improve handling. This perfectly finished ECE-approved system has been tuned to get the most from the TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine of the M2 and is designed to deliver more power all the way across the rev range. This new system features two separate tubes from the downpipe to the muffler – unlike the car’s original single-tube configuration. It is perfectly routed and shaped to provide optimum gas flow from the M2’s stunning engine and deliver a noticeable performance increase. The sound has also been enhanced by Akrapovič’s engineers; the unique external sound is higher in pitch, giving a true racing feel in the upper rpm range. The Evolution Line is perfect for everyday use, with low-rpm driving smooth and refined, but still showing the true potential of the system – and, when higher revs are hit and the valves are permanently open, the sound has an addictive racing tone. A simple plug-and-play system offers a superb addition to improve the performance of the BMW M2. Carbon-fibre tailpipes give an added look to the rear of the M2, to display its sporting potential. Performance can be further increased with the addition of the optional down pipes, which can be purchased with or without cats.
Since the release of the new exhaust parts, Akrapovic have released even more performance and aerodynamic parts for the BMW M2. We are very excited to see the future for this little track star.
