There’s no doubt that the new Toyota Supra has a slight resemblance to its predecessor with the curvature, styling, and wide stance. However, the mechanics and geometry of the vehicle are completely different due to the vehicle being produced by BMW. The suspension and powertrain are both produced by BMW which makes it a little difficult engineering better aftermarket parts for items that can be complex as it is. That is why HKS decided to take on the challenge and develop a new coilover for the A90 Supra.
Eliminating the factory magnetic suspension is what most drivers chose to do since coilovers do not rely on sensors and all the fancy gadgets. The HKS coilovers for the A90 Supra take all the guesswork out of what your suspension might be doing. It is important to maintain a consistent feel no matter how you are driving it or where. With this new coilover, the driver is given the option to adjust the damping for their driving style.
With all the camber plates built into the pillow ball mount top hats and the 30-way damping adjustment, it allows the driver to truly dial in the car to their specific liking and stance they desire on or off the track. With 14k front spring rates and 16k rear, this was designed to be the optimal coilover for circuit racing but gives the owners options as well. Because of this the new HKS Hipermax Max IV SP coilover is top of the line when it comes to suspension for the Supra.
