As time goes on, the Foxbody Mustang is becoming increasingly popular as both a collectors car and as the perfect platform for many enthusiasts. Unfortunately, the 302ci engine under the hood can only do so much naturally aspirated and introducing boost to an old engine like that has its own set of complications. This is where engine swaps come into play, and for enthusiasts who absolutely need a Ford engine inside their Ford vehicle, the Coyote swap is the answer. Of course, jamming a 5.0L, 32-valve, DOHC V8 into a Foxbody isn’t exactly easier, but thanks to Stainless Works’ new headers, it just got a little easier.
These new Stainless Works headers are designed to work with the popular UPR K-Member. An aftermarket K-Member is needed for a Coyote swap, but these headers are designed specifically to work with the UPR unit, so a different K-Member may cause some fitment issues. To cover a wider range of enthusiasts, Stainless Works’ is offering these headers with 1-7/8” primaries and massive 2” primaries. The entire system is TIG welded for strength and features O2 bungs as well as 3.5” collectors which will make tuning that Coyote engine even easier.
