Although many of us long to own the FK8 Civic Type R, the Accord is a much better option for many people. Oddly enough, Honda gave the Civic Si the 1.5L Turbo engine but gave the Accord the 2.0L engine. This means on paper the Accord might not be a high-performance car, but it has the potential to be. One of the easiest ways to get more power out of any turbocharged engine is with a cold air intake, allowing more air to get to the turbocharger and ultimately get more air into the engine.
Injen, one of the biggest names for cold air intakes, has just released their new intake for the 2018 Accord 2.0L Turbo. This intake uses a new mandrel bent tube which improves flow. The stock box and filter are replaced with an Injen SuperNano dry filter which improves flow and improves filtration. Keeping the hot air away from the filter is a small heat shield. This is all done to increase airflow while also decreasing air intake temps. The result is more power and torque!
