Although the EcoBoost F150 is way more powerful than its V8 predecessors, there is a ton of room for improvement. One of the many problems turbocharged vehicles face is heat management. In the case of the 3.5L EcoBoost, you have two very small turbos making tons of boost. Small turbos are great for low-end power and throttle response, but they create very high charge air temperatures compared to large turbos, creating a need for massive intercoolers. The OEM intercooler on the 3.5L EcoBoost leaves a lot to be desired, which is where Agency Power comes in with their new intercooler kit.
The new Agency Power intercooler does not use the OEM intercooler mounting location. Instead, it’s position directly behind the grille which massively improves airflow. On top of that, the total surface area is increased by 55%, resulting in much lower charge air temperatures. The location of the Agency Power intercooler also allows you to install an aftermarket bumper with a winch or a frame-cut bumper. All the necessary brackets, hoses, and clamps are included with the intercooler, making installation very easy.
