For nearly all Honda enthusiasts, the FK8 Civic Type R is the dream machine. Unfortunately, due to the high price, limited availability, and small back seats, the FK8 isn’t feasible, forcing them to choose the Accord. In the past, the Accord was a pretty boring car, but the latest generation Accord uses nearly the same 2.0T found in the FK8, making it a good platform to build a tuner car from. If you want to reduce body roll and get rid of the massive wheel gap without installing coilovers, lowering springs are the best option.
Unlike a set of coilovers, these lowering springs are super affordable. These particular springs from RS-R will provide around 1.2” of lowering. That lower ride height is just enough to get rid of the ugly wheel gap without putting the dampers too far out of their ideal range. To keep the vehicle from bottoming out, spring rates are increased front and rear which also helps reduce body roll.
