Although a lot of people like to hate on the JL Wrangler for being more of a “soccer mom” vehicle than previous Jeeps, those are probably also the people that hated the JK Wrangler when it first dropped. The aftermarket for the JL Wrangler has grown a MASSIVE amount, and the options for lift kits are endless. One of the problems with short-arm lift kits, however, is the control arm angles. Steep control arm angles create a lot of dive under braking, poor ride quality, incorrect caster (which can cause the dreaded death wobble), and much more. A lot of JL Wrangler don’t want to step up to a full long-arm suspension system, so Rubicon Express released a new product which fixes all the issues of a short arm lift without switching to long arms.
These new control arms drop brackets from Rubicon Express work by simply reducing control arm angle by lowering where the control arms mount to the frame. With the control arms near or at the stock angle, anti-dive properties return to normal, as does caster, and ride quality. The brackets will work with OEM or aftermarket control arms and require no cutting, drilling, or welding, to install.
- Reduces control arm angles without use of a long-arm system
- Corrects caster angle
- Improves ride quality
- Improves articulation
- Corrects anti-drive properties
- Designed to work with all short arms
