The Honda Civic has long been one of the most popular Japanese tuner cars on the market and the 10th gen Civic is no different. A problem which many turbocharged front wheel drive cars face is excessive engine movement through the rear engine mount. Excessive engine movement on any FWD car can quickly lead to wheel hop.
Rather than replace the entire OEM rear engine, you can reduce engine movement on your 10th gen Civic SI with Perrin’s new engine mount inserts. The insert fills in the empty space found in the OEM bushing which reduces total bushing deflection, ultimately reducing the amount of rotational movement allowed for the engine.
With less engine movement, wheel hop is reduced and you can more easily shift between gears. You can also launch much more consistently since the engine won’t be moving around violently. The stiffer engine mount will increase vibration, however, the performance benefits are worth it.
Features:
- Better throttle response
- Reduced wheel hop
- 5-year warranty
- Cheaper than full bushing replacement
- Also available for FK8 CTR
