There are a lot of enthusiasts out there who hate the idea of having a twin turbo V6 in a truck instead of a V8. When comparing the stock 5.0L Coyote to the stock EcoBoost F150, however, the winner is pretty clear. The EcoBoost makes more torque in the low RPM and more horsepower at the high RPM. With it being a turbocharged engine, it responds great to simple modifications such as a cold air intake. By allowing more air into the engine, more fuel can be added and a larger explosion happens, occurring in more horsepower.
One of the most complicated parts of any aftermarket intake system is making sure it pulls in cold air from outside the vehicle and not hot air from under the hood. Agency Power has been designed after the OEM air box which does a fantastic job of pulling cold air from outside the vehicle. With smoother piping and a larger filter, however, the Agency Power intake adds an impressive 10rwhp peak and 20 ft-lbs of torque. Slightly larger gains of 12rwhp can be found in the mid-range. With all that low-end torque, your F150 will really feel faster where it really matters.
