So you finally got your Porsche Taycan and want to lower it even more to get an incredible stance! Will most likely you have already bought our VR Performance Lowering Links Here. Now its time to install them. Installing these is not difficult, but you want to get your Taycan slightly lifted so you can get into the wheel well.
Tools required:
- Jack or vehicle lift
- Jack stands for safety
- Angled needle nose pliers or strong hands
- Estimated time to install, about 1 hour.
Step 1 – Lift your car. If using a lift, send it up. If using a jack and jack stands, do 1 corner at a time.
Step 2 – The links we have sent are preset to our ride height adjustment as pictured. You have 2 shorter and 2 longer which are labeled front and rear.
Step 3 – The stock links are plastic and just pop on to these metal balls. You can use a pair of pliers to pop the ball end off. We suggest doing the hard mount side first instead of the sensor. Then you can rotate it off the sensor. Becareful to not break the sensor or you will turn this into a $300 mistake. The front ones are easiest to turn the wheel all the way to one side and reach between the tire and fender.
Step 4 – Now you just need to pop the new VR Performance links in place. The retaining clip needs to come off and is put back in once on the ball.
Step 5 – Now you can do the back ones. These are best accessed from the bottom in front of the wheel or behind the wheel depending on how flexible you are. Same thing with these links. Just popup them off and becareful of the sensor to not break that.
Step 6 – Now with this link off, you just need to do the same as the front and pop the new link on. Make sure the retaining clip is not in till after it is popped on the ball.
Step 7 – You are all done and all the suspension modes will work as they did before. Should you want to change to have it be higher or lower, just adjust each corner and measure as you.
