After two years of ongoing development and research, CSF is excited to finally announce the launch of its first official collab with Bisimoto: the new Hyundai Veloster N and i30N High-Performance Stepped-Core Intercooler. For those who may be unfamiliar, CSF and Bisimoto have had a very close relationship for over a decade with CSF being the go-to cooling solution for all of Bisi’s project cars as of late. So, it was only natural for the two to officially collaborate on a project together.

With technology taken from CSF’s best-selling BMW N54/N55 intercooler, the front face of the new Hyundai intercooler features the brand’s exclusive rounded bar/plate design. This strategic design guides the air entering the intercooler core by curving around the front bars instead of hitting and scattering on the surface of a traditional flat-bar-faced intercooler. CSF’s stepped-core design maximizes all of the available frontal areas behind the front bumper and under the crash car. The stepped-core protrudes upward in front of the air conditioning condenser and sits just a short distance from the crash bar, for both the Veloster N and i30 N models.
Through thorough prototype testing and data acquisition with Bisimoto, the decision was made to keep the OEM-sized inlet and outlet connections. This resulted in a low-pressure drop, even though the CSF intercooler is much larger than the stock one. It also removed the need to include costly and unnecessary silicone hoses, which allows CSF to offer this upgraded intercooler to the N community at an aggressive price point.
It’s important to note that Bisimoto is no stranger to Hyundai tuning – back in 2019, the brand approached CSF when he needed an upgraded intercooler for his factory-backed Veloster N SEMA project. Pushing the limits of the N platform, Bisi’s car was treated to upgraded turbos and high-performance tuning, making it difficult for the OEM intercooler to keep up and shed the appropriate heat from the system.
On short notice, CSF and Bisimoto modified one of CSF’s industry-leading BMW N55 intercoolers to fit into the vehicle in time for the big show. This not only helped meet the deadline, but it allowed CSF to immediately start testing the performance of the prototype intercooler in a higher power setup.
The next stop was the SEMA Garage, which helped with 3D printing the original design made by CSF’s engineers. After verifying fitment in the U.S. on the Hyundai Veloster N, the prototype was then sent to Europe to verify fitment on the similar i30 N. A couple of unique changes were made after testing, which allowed CSF to make this a multi-fit product, now available globally for both the Veloster N and i 30 N platforms.
