Development continues for the Audi R8
The Audi R8 has become an Iconic and fairly obtainable super car since its inception in 2007. Audi created a raw driving experience while maintaining luxury that the brand is known for. Coupling its AWD system with a large v8 or v10, drivers get great power and traction, as well as predictability and practicality.
Any car is rarely perfect while in its standard form. The factory exhaust, just like many exhausts created by the manufacturer, falls short in many aspects. We enthusiasts want not only performance gains, but also that nice growl that can be heard when you press down your right foot. Usually with aftermarket exhausts there are trade offs in performance and sound. Sometimes a pure performance exhaust will be loud and have terrible drone at highway and cruising speeds. Other times they are not loud enough and do not provide enough flow for substantial gains.
In recent years production of valved exhausts has been somewhat of a modern marvel. It splits the compromise between driving enjoyment and sheer power. Kline has now released an Exhaust for the Audi R8 GT which is nice and deep while cruising, but also screaming when you are pushing higher into the RPM range.
Kline has been using top quality materials such as Carbon fiber, Stainless steel, Iconel 625, to create a great balance and offer weight savings. The valves in their system create a great sound while cruising and hellish noises while winding the car out. Check out this new video from Kline innovation releasing their R8 GT valvetronic race exhaust.
Quality components, great noise, performance all in one package.
Under valve closure the exhaust gasses are diverted through a series of chambers and acoustic sections to completely remove any cabin noise and drone, at valve open the exhaust becomes completely free flow for optimum performance and sound, the gases only passing through our trademark x pipe, to effectively raise the pitch of the exhaust note.
Removal of the secondary catalysts from the silencer section, and addition of a completely free flow system under valve open, result in optimum efficiency from the exhaust, and some moderate power and torque gains 21hp and 27 nm power and torque gain. All cross sections have been increased from stock by around 10% to give the best balance of torque, and increased power

Wow! Top quality materials, mind blowing sound while accelerating and the performance as you say. What else does a racer need to have in his car? I would be looking soon to buy one for my Audi R8. Thanks for sharing such a great exhaust system with us 🙂
