Our Project C63 took the next step in power by equipping it with our Agency Power catless race headers first, then a second test with our valvetronic catback exhaust system. The race headers are definitely a must for the V8 engine. Giving much improved low end torque, they make the tires spin non stop. We actually had to but about 3oolbs of dumbbells in the trunk so the rear tires did not spin on the dyno. In combination with our Powerchip ECU flash, the tuned catless headers make the car roar much more. The rasp of the stock exhaust and the headers was quite loud when revving the car or low RPMs. So we added our Agency Power valvetronic exhaust system to the car. The catback exhaust, much like our other BMW M5/M6, GTR, and Ferrari 360 units, features an electronic valve which opens and closes from a remote switch to change between quiet and loud mode. The exhaust system is a larger diameter and less restrictive then the OEM unit. This helped softened the tone to more of an aggressive clean sounding V8. The exhaust also has a different style with the matte black quad tips.
As these are just the beginning stages of our project, we also have started some aesthetics by adding the Vorsteiner V-104 wheels with Toyo tires. Vorsteiner is also setting us up with their full carbon aero package. Also coming up is an installation of the KW V3 coilovers for this car. Check out the videos below and see our gallery here!
