Without having to get crazy swapping wheel carriers, axles, etc to use the OEM gold STI Brembo brakes, you can easily enhance your braking performance of the Subaru WRX. Since around 2004, Brembo has had a upgraded big brake kit for the 02-05 WRX models. Originally a front 2 piston caliper and rear 1 piston caliper, Brembo steps up the brake system quite a bit. The front becomes a 4piston caliper with a 12.8inch 1pc rotor. The rear kit goes to a 2piston with a 12.4inch 1pc rotor. Both kits include new steel braided brakeline, brake pads, and everything needed to install. A minimum, 17inch wheels are required with proper offset to clear these brakes.
