The Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro has been an excellent competitor to the Jeep Wrangler since it came out. The only problem is that the TRD Pro models can be really expensive and sometimes hard to find. This has created a massive aftermarket around the 4Runner. It makes more sense to buy a standard 4Runner and put a nice lift kit on it with some bigger tires. One of our recent customers set up his 4Runner to not only look like a TRD Pro but also to outperform it.
Front suspension consisted of Bilstein 5100 Series 46mm monotube shock absorbers. Rear suspension is just some simple 1.5″ spring spacers from Daystar. The wheels are Method MR311 Vex Titanium in 17×8.5 size. Wrapped around those Method wheels are Hankook A/T 295/70/17 tires. To help with getting in and out of the 4Runner are some N-FAB Nerf steps. 295/70/17 tires. Finishing off the exterior are blacked out emblems and a TRD Pro grill and hood.
