One of our customers Porsche 996TT had some issues at their local installers. They pointed fingers at the Agency Power product so we needed to see what the REAL problem was. To show the extra mile Vivid Racing will go for its customers and to up hold the brand integrity and product quality of Agency Power, we had a truck in Houston to pick up this car. The same day it arrived, we dove into it. All of this at no cost to the customer. Without going into details on each of the issues found unrelated to our products, you can see how we tested all the systems for a variety of boost leaks here, www.youtube.com/agencypower. We wanted to make sure our parts were sound and not the cause of the problem. Since the car was already here, we were not going to just fix a small pinhole leak and send the car back, we wanted to finish it off so he could actually drive it! Once everything was gone through, it was tuning time!
With the car strapped down to our Mustang AWD Dyno, it was time to datalog and test. The car had a full tank of 93octane and VRTuned had already provided us with a starting file. We ran the car out and datalogged it. We sent Scott at VRTuned 3 different datalogs and he gave us back 1 revision. More power! We wanted to increase midrange and top end power as to much torque on the tip would make it slip. So Scott sent us another revision going through all the tables for that RPM range. Not to tute his horn, but that is pretty good that Scott in CT and us in AZ he could tweak the car that quick and that good. We ran the car out and got 532awhp and 563ft/lbs of torque. But we were not done. VRTuned tunes all files to adjust for higher octane. So with only 88miles left in the tank, we dumped in a 5 gallon drum of VP MS109 octane. Cranked up the boost to run 1.6bar and we got some good additional gains. The cars top numbers were 571awhp and 632ft/lbs of torque. On a tip, this is really the max as we could feel the tranny did not want to stay together with that much torque. By Mustang standards this is over 700hp and 750ft/lbs at the crank. We wanted this car to go back to TX perfect! After all the work, we got the car where we wanted. What is the 60-130 time? You will have to wait for Bad107 to take to the streets and test it!
We were glad to know that our Agency Power products were an asset to delivering this power and not the cause of the major issues. Hopefully some of this will open your eyes to further check out the Agency Power Porsche Product Line.
