Long time friend and customer of Vivid dropped off his newest project car, and I must say this could be the coolest BMW I have seen in a long time.
The car started life as a 318TI which the stubby looking 3 series. Jack of course did not leave the stock motor so he instead pulled out the factory motor and dropped in a built M3 motor. He then coupled all of this together with an Active Auto GT35R Turbo kit. Together the combination is just amazing.
The little 318 does not look like it would be fast with a set of OZ wheels on it but man the car really puts down some power.
Jack opted to put in the AEM EMS for the tuning instead of the traditional flash method as he wanted more tunability and it turned out great. The AEM EMS works great in these cars and really allows you to put down more power than an off the shelf flash does.
This power was at 9psi only. At 12-13psi this car will easily be over 400+ hp and no one will be the wiser. We maxed out the injectors so once we get the new 650cc we are going to put some 109 in it and turn up the boost even more and see how much power this thing will make so stay tuned.
