In the spring, we introduced you to our Project Raptor – a 2020 model in the beautiful factory Race Red paint. Upon asking our audience what type of mods they would like done to the truck, we listened and installed new VR wheels and tires, a bed cover, and some suspension goodies. Now that we got the truck looking even better from the exterior, it’s time we took another jab at it and upgraded the cabin. After all, that’s where a driver spends most of their time and you want it to look and feel the best it can. The stock Ford Raptor steering wheel features basic leather, perforated grips, trim, and 12 o’clock ring. We, however, had plans to switch that up and put in a Vivid Racing customized steering wheel to match the interior. Our upgraded steering wheel seamlessly accentuates the factory carbon fiber and all the other accents to really give it that elevated sporty look. It has a carbon fiber top, center section, paddles, perforated gripes, red stitching, and a red stripe. The new VR steering wheel is crafted from 2×2 carbon fiber weave for the ultimate in the looks and feels department. Not only does this part look incredible, but your hands will also thank you as it feels so much better than stock as well! 

After giving you a closer look at the steering wheel for our project Raptor, we show you how to easily (and safely) install VR’s upgrade.
