This has been a big year for Status Racing. Since the new year they have discontinued the carbon kevlar seats to make room for the new honeycomb, red and blue colored carbon seats. Status hasn’t released any other details, but we are fairly certain they won’t stop with those three. The other big announcement from Status was the FIA approval of their Status Ring GT-X seat. As they put it, now “medium-husky” weekend racers can race in style and be FIA approved.
Like most, when we’re bored we waste time on Instagram, looking at the latest from vendors, fans and enthusiasts. Last night we came across this Saabaru 9-2X with a rare set of Status carbon kevlar seats. If you haven’t heard of a Saabaru, it’s a badge engineered version of the second generation Subaru Impreza. 2005 and 2006 were the only two years it was retailed here in the states. With that, this particular 9-2x has been outfitted from head to toe, and the interior is no exception.
