As some of you may remember, in a previous Vivid Racing video we lowered a Tesla Model 3 using the Eibach Pro-kit Springs paired with a set of Brixton Forged RF7 wheels. While that set up looked great and handled a bit better than stock, many of you wanted more, leaving comments like “Needs more low.”
So, thanks to our friends at BC Racing, we’ve delivered exactly what our followers asked for! We did this in two parts: with a set of BC Racing BR Series coilovers and with new Vivid Racing aero parts. The Vivid Racing aero parts aren’t available for purchase just yet, so for now we’ll just look at the BR Series coilovers.
These coilovers offer significantly more adjustability and performance than the stock suspension or lowering springs. With improved spring rates, optimized damping, ride height adjustment, and damping adjustment, you have a lot more adjustability than stock. Ultimately, this means you can get your Tesla much lower and better equipped to handle the increased cornering loads from performance tires.
Out of the box, the BR Series offers a 1-inch lower ride height over your OEM suspension with 30 clicks damping adjustability. For those who want their Tesla to be slammed, you can set the suspension up to 2-inches lower than stock. Damping is adjusted simultaneously and height is adjusted independently of piston and spring stroke.
