Before it was even purchased we talked about this look. White Porsche with gold wheels and a GT2 look. Well that dream became a reality as some of the finishing touches were put on pro skateboarder Bucky Lasek’s Porsche 996 Turbo. Working with the best in the wheel business, he hooked up with HRE Wheels to build him some of the lightest wheels for his weekend track monster. This Porsche got a set of the C90 competition mesh style wheels. What makes these so light? HRE uses titanium hardware to assemble the wheels to save on rotational weight. They also hone out the insides of the spokes to reduce excess material while still maintaining structural integrity. This setup featuring Pirelli tires is a 18×8.5 and a 18×11.5 with a step lip for that Porsche cup car look. Check out more HRE Wheels for Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Audi, and others here.
