Work Meister S1 R Wheels
Meister S1 R
What Makes the Work Meister S1R Special?
With a completely redesigned center disk, the brand-new WORK Meister S1 R brings a new generation of style and preserves the Meister series’s heritage. The WORK Meister S1 R is a two-piece construction wheel that uses a low-pressure center casting disk with a forged step rim barrel. Due to its two-piece design, offsets can be customized within 1mm increments, allowing fine-tuning of the wheel fittings. Also, the two-piece wheels are stiffer and suitable for track use. As can be expected with WORK Wheels, there is a wide range of widths and customization options to choose from.
While most companies brag about forged construction, that process only applies to the center of the wheel. Having a forged center disk with spun rim barrels doesn’t make much difference in stiffness. The solid rim flange and a thicker barrel on Work Wheels give them strength over other wheels on the market. The rim barrel is the part of the wheel that takes most of the load of the vehicle. Work Wheels is one of the only companies in the world that has developed and used a ‘Solid Rim Flange’, which provides the much-needed strength.
Features:
- 2-piece construction means the offset can be adjusted millimeter by millimeter to your ideal disk face position
- WFT construction means this wheel is super light and extremely strong
- Disk face and barrel customizable with Work’s range of color finishes
- Sizes: 16″ / 17″ / 18″ / 19″ / 20″
- PCD: 4×98~4×100 (16″) / 5×98~5×100 (16″) / 4×98~4×114.3 (17″) / 5×98~5×120.65 (17″) / 5×98~5×120.65 (18″) / 5×98~5×130 (19″) / 5×98~5×130 (20″)
Work Wheels' 2-Piece Construction
Work’s Flowforming Technology (WFT) manufacturing method was originally used on the inner barrel of the Work Emotion CR Kiwami. After the barrel is casted, the mold is stretched out while an immense amount of pressure is applied to it. This manufacturing method makes the macrostructure of aluminum more defined. Furthermore, allowing the rim thinner and lightweight by this way makes it similar to the forged.
Work 2-piece models are produced with the lips and barrels as one which, along with the faces, are then welded together. This allows for offsets and lip measurements to be selected in single millimeter increments, offering unparalleled levels of customization. The barrel and disc are molded and constructed separately. The new method of jointing parts of the 2-piece wheel together is through welding.
The WFT Process
Work’s flow form manufacturing method was originally used on the inner barrel of the Work Emotion CR Kiwami. After the barrel is casted, the mold is stretched out while an immense amount of pressure is applied to it.
This manufacturing method makes the macrostructure of aluminum more defined. Furthermore, allowing a thinner rim makes it lightweight, positively comparable to forged wheels. The tensile strength and tenacity required for the inner rim are dramatically increased and, at the same time, adding more durability on outer rim.
Work focuses heavily on the technology used in rim forming, the rim barrel in a WORK wheel is what sets the alloys apart from the competition. The rim barrel is the part of the wheel that takes most of the load of the vehicle. Work Wheels is one of the only companies in the world that has developed and used a Solid Rim Flange which provides extreme strength.
Advantages of Two Piece Wheels
- Two-piece wheels are stronger and last longer in tough use
- Two-piece wheels can be repaired with the replacement of one of the two pieces which is always cheaper than buying a new one-piece wheel of equivalent quality and weight
- Custom barrels can be constructed to give widths that would customarily be unavailable
- Custom faces allow for the user to achieve a specific offset and, or specific backspacing
- Two-piece wheels allow a custom design, or custom bolt pattern to fit racing hubs, locking, latching attachment methods, or adapting if the wheel's stock face is not available for your car's bolt pattern

Why Should I Install Aftermarket Wheels?
- Aftermarket wheels have been engineered to be lightweight, so these see the primary use in motorsports.
- A lighter wheel reduces un-sprung weight, resulting in faster acceleration and significantly improved handling.
- A bigger wheel allows space for much larger brake rotors and calipers—usually a must when a car is built to race.
- A larger wheel is more attractive in design compared to dull stock wheels.
