Control Arms: Setting proper axle position, pinion angles and caster angles is critical to delivering a smooth on road ride, great off-road flex and overall performance. When everything is adjusted properly your vehicle just works better, not only day one, but also for years and years to come.
Our Gladiator control arms feature a unique bushing which utilizes a large outside knurled washer to allow greater surface area and therefore a superior clamping force. Proper clamping force is critical in eliminating death wobble issues and overall handling.
Lower control arm housings also use a super thick 5/16s housing to eliminate the worry of denting or ripping the housing apart. A premium tube insert is pressed into the alternate end, plug welded and then fully robotic welded for maximum penetration, consistency and precision. Premium arms feature narrow series forged Johnny Joint adjusters which are greaseable, and rebuildable. They use a 1 piece bushing capable of up to 40 degrees of misalignment ready to tackle any terrain.
Track Bars: Setting a proper vehicle track is also very important for handling and on-road performance. Our track bars are constructed using 1 3/8 Inch x 5/16 Inch DOM tubing. This extra thick tubing gives us a thicker wall diameter and is especially important around the adjustable johnny joint adjuster.
This JT specific rod end gives us an easy bolt in design, is easily adjustable, and specifically designed with a longer body to provide greater access to the jam nut. The frame end uses a dual durometer free pivoting, self-lubricating, self-centering, silent in operation and maintenance free bushing GIIRO joint to help with road noise isolation.
Coil Springs: Linear rate, dual rate, triple rate, what do you really need'e actually use all 3 variants depending on the vehicle, height and capacity requirements. Linear coils have a single spring rate and are evenly spaced top to bottom which makes for a great spring for most applications. The main advantage being that the coils don't touch each other, which can lead to wear and tear and coil failure.
The dual rate coil has a tight set of coils usually at the top, and then a second set of coils with more traditional spacing below. Dual rate coils do not ride any better than single rate coils despite popular belief. The first rate is usually completely compressed and acts as a spacer, its purpose is to provide a longer free length coil so at maximum articulation the coil doesn't unseat.
In most applications, including the front of our JL/JT 2.5 Inch and 3.5 Inch lift kits the coils do not unseat and there is a top post and bottom bump stop present so coils cannot fall out even at max articulation. But in the rear, there is no coil post or lower internal retainer, and therefore a dual rate coil is necessary, or in the JT's case a triple rate coil due to the additional cargo area and weight. All of our coils are powder coated black using a new SealKor finish which is a zinc rich powder coat to help in the prevention of rust and corrosion.
Sway Bar Links: Proper sway bar angles result in better handling and increase off-road performance. The more you lift your vehicle, the more necessary proper sway bar angles become. On road this will help to control body roll, and off-road a longer sway bar link will make sure your link doesn't act as a limiting strap.
Our links are 100 percent bolt in, and no cutting and drilling are required. End links are pre-greased and have Teflon coated heim joints, simple, easy and effective.
Bump Stops: Bump stops are another simple yet effective component used to limit up travel either before your tire runs out of room, or your shock runs out of travel. The front bump stops are 3 1/4 Inch tall made from UHMW and can be cut if you want to customize your up travel.
Rear bump stops are powder coated and are 3 Inch tall steel spacers, with pre-drilled holes for optional bolt-on spacers for those of you looking to customize your rear up travel. Both front and rear bump stops utilize a simple bolt on installation.

Clayton Offroad has been setting the standard for long-arm suspension kits since 2001. In November of 2002, the brand became the first suspension manufacturer to offer long-arm suspensions for all four of the major Jeep models: the TJ, XJ, WJ, and ZJ.
Clayton Offroad wasn’t established on a business plan, but rather started out as a hobby with a solid business philosophy that prospered. The company is dedicated to providing its customers with the highest quality and most durable products available on the market with great attention to customer service. At Clayton Offroad, they aren’t just working on manufacturing Jeep parts, they are also competing at local competitions, riding on the trails with local clubs, and out 4-wheeling with their buddies.
Born from a Personal RealizationThe co-owner and founder of Clayton Offroad, Clayton Walters, began operations in a one-car garage. He started out designing and manufacturing rocker panels and bumpers for his own Jeep ZJ. In 2001, after daily driving a ZJ with a 6-inch lift and short-arm suspension for a year, he realized the need for a new suspension system to make his car a pleasure to drive again. In June of that year, Clayton Offroad Manufacturing, LLC was born and debuted its ZJ long-arm suspension at the Grand Slam East event in Gore, Virginia. The suspension proved to be a huge success after being driven over 400 miles to try its luck at the toughest trails at the event. Later that year, Clayton Offroad was producing ZJ long-arm kits in full swing, followed by the release of the XJ kit, WJ kit, and eventually a TJ kit.
In 2007, with the new Jeep JK hitting the market, Clayton Offroad began assessing what type of lift was needed for the model. Taking the design improvements on the JK into consideration, the brand came up with a standard length-based control-arm suspension.
Products Tested to the LimitsClayton Offroad is more than just a suspension manufacturer; it also produces transfer cases, gears, lockers, driveshafts, and complete custom axle assemblies born from its drivetrain expertise. All of the product designs and developments are rigorously tested in real-world situations to guarantee safety, proper functionality, and durability. Throughout the years, Clayton’s products have been abused and tested in professional rock crawling competitions all across the U.S. The brand takes pride in using only the latest technology, including CNC press brakes, millers, turning centers, and laser cutters to offer quality, close tolerance parts for your Jeep.
