New HKS GTIII turbochargers for the RB26 and SR20 are now available. These new turbochargers offer higher output and response while minimizing compressor surge.

Recent requirements towards fuel efficiency and emissions control have accelerated the development of turbo technology, which has been adapted for tuning. A high-efficiency unit with high boost at low airflow ranges, while preventing surging, is realized. HKS designed housings that utilize the technology, experience, and know-how built up over many years of turbocharger innovation. Optimal design, which minimizes surging, is achieved through "Made in Japan" manufacturing quality, with domestically made casts machined and finished within HKS facilities. The combination of the ultimate turbine blades and its optimal housing creates an amazingly versatile turbo. High output, high response turbo tends to suffer from surging. The GTIII Turbine minimizes surging, making it an easy-to-use unit with flexibility of setup. While this is a thrust bearing type turbo, high response compatible with a ball bearing setup has been achieved.
