Husaberg

Who Is Husaberg?

Husaberg is a motorcycle manufacturer that was founded in 1988 and produced enduro motorcycles, ranging from 125cc to 600cc. They started manufacturing in Sweden but later moved to Austria where its parent company KTM was operating.

The company was born when a motorcycle division of Husqvarna was purchased by Cagiva, an Italian company, back in 1987. When Cagiva shifted their production in Italy, a group of engineers that was led by Thomas Gustavsson opted to stay in Sweden to continue their project, thus Husaberg was born.

Just like any small start-up company, Husaberg’s first operation was from a woodshed at lake Vattern located at Husaberg Udde from which the company's name was derived. They were later on recognized when Gustavsson entered an enduro race where they were required to declare the brand of their motorcycle. Even with limited funds, the company was able to create a race-winning bike that matched the performance of other mainstream brands.

Keeping The Heritage Alive

Even when production of their bikes stopped back in 2014, the company has amassed a great deal of followers who still use their bikes today. That is why Husaberg still offers OEM parts for their motorcycles to ensure that these owners would be able to maintain their bikes and keep it roadworthy and reliable. Each component is designed to be a perfect fit on the vehicle with the exact specifications as of the factory original component.
