Why should I install SSR Professor SP4 wheels?

Speaking of philosophy, this subject was always taught by a professor. And SSR’s philosophy is spot on with the Professor line of wheels. Specifically, the SP4. The Professor SP4 is a three-piece wheel that consists of an outer rim, an inner rim, and a center disk. The outer rim of the SP4 is welded to the inner rim. The center disk is then bolted, combining the three parts together to make a bespoke looking wheel that is lightweight and stiff.
Since 3-piece wheels are SSR’s forte, it is only natural that SSR will incorporate its latest technologies and designs in this particular construction. The three-piece Professor SP4 is made up of an outer rim, inner rim, and center disc which allows SSR to offer wide range of offsets and ensures proper fitment specific to your vehicle. The inner rim of the wheel is heat treated for strength, using the HTM (Heat Treatment Manufacture) process which allows for the use of a thinner material to save weight. With weight and high strength in mind, each section of the wheel is engineered using separate grades and thickness of aluminum according to its purpose.
SSR's racing heritage and manufacturing innovations have allowed the creation of the professor SP4 that is both super lightweight and high in strength. The 5-spokes and the deep-dish combine for a look that’s both stunning and aggressive.
More on SSR’s HTM technology: After the Professor SP4 goes through the spinning process during manufacturing they are heat treated for a second time. This application of heat increases the strength of the wheel. As a result, the wheels are lighter and stronger making them ideal for hard tuned race cars and heavier vehicles.
The Professor SP4 is available in Flat Black and Titan Silver finishes. It is available in 18, 19, and 20-inch diameters.
