What Makes the TSW Tremblant Special?

The Tremblant alloy wheel is named after the Circuit Mont-Tremblant, a 4.26 km (2.65 mi) race circuit north of the village of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada. Two Canadian Grand Prix events (1968 and 1970) have been staged here. On July 1, 2007, Mont-Tremblant hosted a round of the Champ Car World Series. In this race, French driver Tristan Gommendy set the track record, with a time of 1.16.776 in a Panoz DP01. This marked the series' first race at the circuit since Indy cars competed there in 1967 and 1968, when Mario Andretti won all four races.

TSW Wheels has been a trusted name in the wheel and tire industry for years. The Evo-T in particular is part of TSW’s Rotary Forged family of wheels. The TSW Tremblant is offered in two great finishes such as matte black and silver that will look great on any sport, luxury, or performance car.

TSW Rotary Forged

Rotary Forged is TSW speak for flow forming wheels. Flow Formed wheels are wheels that have been made by applying pressure to the inner barrel of the wheel while spinning after casting. What this does is compress and stretch the aluminum and increase the tensile strength of the wheel. This allows the wheel to be much lighter, stronger, more resistant to shock and higher load capacity compared to the cast wheels.

The flow forming process means that the wheel weighs significantly less than the typical cast wheel of the same type (about 25 percent lighter). Although previously a lighter wheel may only have been of interest to the racers to reduce the amount of unsprung weight, this can be applied to any vehicle. In addition, the Flow Formed Wheel economically offers fuel savings and increased fuel mileage.

Why Should I Install Aftermarket Wheels?

  • Aftermarket wheels have been engineered to be lightweight, so these see the primary use in motorsports.
  • A lighter wheel reduces un-sprung weight, resulting in faster acceleration and significantly improved handling.
  • A bigger wheel allows space for much larger brake rotors and calipers—usually a must when a car is built to race.
  • A larger wheel is more attractive in design compared to dull stock wheels.
